Southeast Blitz

I am currently in the middle of a unique season of my life. The last few years have made it difficult to spend time with family due to very little time off from work and living a considerable distance away. But now, I have time and it is important for me to see them. In the midst of that, I am also using this time to visit potential speakers for camp and attempting to form relationships with schools and seminaries. Needless to say, I I have been traveling alot lately. I was able to spend some much needed time with family and a friend in Gulfport for a week and a half. I just left Destin, Florida and now I am in Atlanta. Next week I head to Birmingham, back to Gulfport, Houston, Oklahoma, and finally back to Colorado. I am having a hard time keeping track of what time zone I reside and wake up regularly in the night and can't remember where I am. There are always other things to deal with also.

Driving more often increases your chances of accidents. Today I was involved in an accident. The road was newly drenched with a morning shower and my Jeep decided to take a slide. I tried everything. I had so much time that I down shifted, tried to turn left, then right, but nothing I could do changed my trajectory. And I bumped a guy. Thankfully, I wasn't going fast and thankfully no one was hurt. Now there is a chevy truck in Florida with a dent in it....but I am happy to report that my Jeep is still a beast!

I look forward to seeing more family and visiting with what might be future staff. But I must say, I am ready to wake up in my own bed for a while. Colorado or bust!
